Data Deletion

Disconnect a provider immediately or request deletion of your complete Moonwind account and associated social-platform data.

Disconnect a social account

Disconnecting stops Moonwind from using the provider credentials associated with that connection. It does not delete your original social-platform account or content.

  1. Sign in at moonwind.app/login.
  2. Open the relevant channel workspace, such as X Intelligence or YouTube Studio.
  3. Select Disconnect and confirm. Moonwind removes the stored connection and encrypted provider credentials.
  4. Optionally revoke Moonwind directly in the provider’s security settings using the links below.

Revoking access at the provider prevents future API access but may not remove data already synchronized to Moonwind. Use the complete deletion request below for that.

Delete your Moonwind account and data

  1. Email hello@moonwind.app from the email address associated with your Moonwind account.
  2. Use the subject Moonwind data deletion request. Include your Moonwind account email and the handles or channel names you connected. Never include a password or access token.
  3. Complete any reasonable identity-verification step we send. This protects your account from fraudulent deletion requests.
  4. We will confirm receipt and ordinarily complete deletion from active Moonwind systems within 30 days.

Facebook and Instagram deletion instructions

If you used Facebook Login or connected a Facebook Page or Instagram Professional account, follow the complete deletion process above. Include the Facebook Page name or Instagram handle so we can locate the correct connection.

You may also remove Moonwind from Facebook under Settings and privacy → Settings → Business integrations. After removal, email us if you also want synchronized Page, Instagram, message, comment, insight, and account records removed from Moonwind.

What we delete

A verified complete deletion request removes or irreversibly anonymizes, as applicable:

  • Your Moonwind profile and Google identity association.
  • Encrypted provider access and refresh credentials.
  • Connected channel and account records.
  • Synchronized posts, uploads, analytics, comments, mentions, messages, replies, and publishing history associated with your account.
  • Competitor selections, metric snapshots, workspace preferences, and related application records.

Limited retention

Deletion from active systems is ordinarily completed within 30 days after verification. Information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until they expire through the normal backup cycle. We may retain minimal records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or proof that a deletion request was fulfilled.

Deleting Moonwind data does not delete content already published to a social platform. Remove that content through the platform itself. It also does not delete your Google, YouTube, X, Facebook, or Instagram account.
